Sibelius
Sibelius Project
The music software programme Sibelius is named after a famous person. Do some research into this person (called Sibelius!) and produce a project using these sections:
Title Page (including your name, form and “Sibelius Project”)
Sibelius's upbringing (full name, dates, place of birth, family, etc.)
The Music (types of music written, most famous pieces etc.)
Timeline (a timeline of the main events in his life)
You should use appropriate images to illustrate your project. It can use ICT or be hand written. It should have excellent presentation. DO NOT simply copy from the internet or other places. You should rewrite information into language that you understand.
You must submit this project by the deadline, which will be about 4 weeks after it is set.
Homework 2
Do some research into musical notation (how we write music) and answer the following questions:
1. When was the first written music that we are aware of?
2. What is Plainchant and how was it written?
3. What is an alto clef?
4. What is graphic notation?
