* Have the date and a relevant title (not just 'Homework' or 'Evaluation') * Include as much MUSICAL detail as you can, using the sheet to help you * Use as much relevant musical language as possible - use the sheet to help you.
You will be assessed on your appraisal using the following criteria:
DISTINCTION STAR - As distinction, plus: Highly detailed discussion using accurate musical language and reflective thinking. Musical intentions and ideas are discussed thoroughly and reasons why they were chosen are explained. Typical features of the music you are working with are researched and discussed in detail.
DISTINCTION - Discussion of good and bad musical ideas is evident and an attempt to discuss musical problem solving. Clear, realistic suggestions for improvement are made. Punctuation, grammar, paragraphs and spelling are all good.
MERIT - Good discussion of teamwork, and an opinion on the unit which is justified. Punctuation and paragraphs are used in the written work.
PASS - Basic comments regarding the topic are used. An attempt is made to use musical language.
